Secrets

Secrets

We all have them...
We all have something to hide...
We all have something that is painful inside of us..
We all have something that is hurtful inside of us...
We all have something that is lying beneath us that would make it or break us...
We all have something that is difficult to discuss...
We all have something that is exciting to share...
We all have something that is worth sharing...
And Finally,
We all have something that is needed to be released from us, but don't know how. Secrets, it can be good or bad, it can break families and friends apart, pending how one takes it. We all have secrets, and some we just take it to our death, because it was a promise that we have made with a person or a family member. Some secrets are hard to break out of, because it needs to be heard so that one can heal from the heartache that they have went through in their past. Sometimes, when we release our secrets, it can be worth it, because we have that sense of peace, because help is now starting to come in. God knows our only little secrets and what is in our hearts, as we ask Him to help us, He will come in and bring in the right people to tell those deep secrets that we have been keeping inside for a long time. We must just try and Trust Him and in the end, everything will be okay!

Christmas

Christmas

is a day that falls on December 25...
is a day where we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ...
is a day where we all get together with family and friends...
is a day where we give out gifts to our family's and friends...
is a day where the kids wake up and open gifts from Santa Clause or the little angels...
is a day where we go to church and celebrate with the community...
is a day where we have our great big meal...

And Finally,

is a day where we can also rest upon an open fire and watch the snow fall down the rooftops. Christmas is a season for the reason that Jesus was born to be our Saviour of the World. He came to the world to take away sin and so when we die, we will have eternal life. Was born by a village girl who was clear of sin, her name was Mary who became His mother. To this day, we remember His birth and what importance Mary had as well. Mary said yes to carry the Son of God, which was a big responsibility and now She watches down on us as well with Her Son. With all the hustle and bustle that surrounds the weeks before Christmas, we must turn around and remember what the real reason behind Christmas and stop at a creche and remember why this child was born. Merry Christmas to you all!

When The Holidays Are Tough

This is for those who have lost someone, or anyone they won't be with for the holiday seasons. I miss grandfather a whole lot and so, I hope this is something comforting to those you reads it...

When the Holidays are tough...

We feel sad...
We feel depressed...
We feel alone...
We feel we cannot go on...
We feel that we have no strength to carry on...

And then...

We wonder if we can get through it..
We wonder if we can make new beginnings...
We wonder if our loved ones will see us...
We wonder if our loved ones are okay...
We wonder if our loved ones ever come back...
We wonder if our loved ones are safe...
We wonder if our loved ones will see their families again...
We wonder if our loved ones will be in contact with us...
We wonder if our loved ones hear and feel our prayers...

And Finally,

We miss our loved ones that went on before us. The holiday seasons can be tough for anyone who are going through a rough time. We have our days where we are doing good, and then we have our days where we just break down and cry. We feel alone and its dark. We may have a loved one in the armed forces fighting for our country, or is very sick in the hospital, and not sure if they will make it, or we have a loved one who passed away from us prior or a couple days the holidays. In times like this, we must try and remember the good times and the sillyness we had with our loved ones who have passed. For those who are out fighting for our country, we must always tell them that we love them very much and that we are proud of them, because you never know in that hour what may happen. We pray for their safe return. Most important of them all, is that God is with us through our struggles and pains and He is even closer to us when we are saddened. The Son of God was born to be Our Saviour, so in this time, we can turn to Him, because he will keep us in His Palm of His Hands until we are ready to walk again!

We Ask....

Why do some people hurt us...

Why do some people kill for no reason...

Why do some people murder the unborn...

Why do some people bully others...

Why do some people hate us...

Why do some people can't seem to communicate in a civil matter....

Why do some people break the hearts of their loved ones...

Why do some people abuse their loved ones, friends, family or pets...

Why do some people harass others...

Why do some people stalk others and not leave them alone when they should...

Why do some people put people down for no reason...

Why do some people become condescending towards others...

And Finally,

Why do some people have a need to control every move we make. These are some questions that may come to our minds when we watch the news or something has happened to us. When it happens to us, we feel broken down, and useless, because no matter how hard we have tried, we were consistently put down and we ask why was this done. Where is God in the mist of all of this?! We learn that He was there, taking the same hit that we received, but took it harder, because He was protecting us from the harsh blows and then carried us in His palm of his hands. We sometimes don't get it...those people who have hurt us or hurt other people are broken themselves, and they just need a reminder that no one is perfect. To get through this, we must learn to let go and forgive them, because God has forgiven us and had forgiven the ones who have hurt Him. As we forgive, we will be set free from the hurt and it will not hurt anymore.

Trust

Trust

is being able to tell someone something and know it will be kept to themselves...

is being able to know that you won't be violated...

is being able to know that you have that friend by you when you need that shoulder...

is being able to know that everything will be okay...

is being able to know that we must trust ourselves first...

is being able to know that things happen for a reason....

And Finally,

is being able to know God is always there when we need Him. Trust is a big thing for us and to be able to trust someone can take a while for some. When one is violated, they lose that trust in people, and their guard is up. They wonder how they can trust again, and so they are very cautious to whom they will trust again. We must trust ourselves first in order to learn to re-trust someone else. When we have gained that trust in people, including a close friend, we can feel relaxed that we can look towards to them at times. The best of all is that we have ourselves to trust, because we our own best friends!

What is Depression?

For someone who has depression, its hard, because we just need to force ourselves harder to do the things that we need to do. We are not alone and it can be conquered, and each person heals differently. One day the stigma will go and we can be able to talk more about it like the way we can talk about cancer. With depression, we just got to take it "inch by inch...one shaky step at a time" Edgar Allan Poe.

What is depression?

There are different types of depression from mild to severe, but either way, we can conquer it...

Sometimes we feel that we cannot even wake up, because we don’t have that energy to get out of bed, it is okay, we just need to push ourselves to get up and go on with our day, taking one thing at a time and creating small goals for that day....

Sometimes we wonder if anyone really understands because you cannot snap out of it, but only through educating the people around us, they will get a better understanding on what it is about...

Sometimes we feel that there is a dark cloud over us and we cannot get out of it, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel, not to worry, everything will work itself out...

Sometimes we feel that our moods are off and don’t understand why, because we just want to cry, but the week is going great, that is okay, having a good cry can relieve it, and help you, don’t keep anything inside...

Sometimes we just don’t want to do anything, that is okay, it is okay to have a day of nothing and just watching movies all day, you are treating yourself to a quiet and relaxing day...

Sometimes we will have negative thoughts, but that is our negative self-talk that we are used to, we must turn it around by learning positive self-talk, it is not easy at first, but it does get easier with practice...

Sometimes we just feel tired all the time, just doing something physical will help make us feel better...

Sometimes we just want to talk to someone who gets it, going to support groups or seeing a therapist to help us through those problems gives us relief and a reminder that we are okay...

Sometimes it can be a chemical imbalance, and medication regulates the chemicals in order to have a productive life, but we must learn the tools to get through the depression itself, because medication won’t solve the depression...

Sometimes we feel that we have failed because it came back, but it is a relapse, it happens to the best of us, and it is nothing to be ashamed of...

And finally...

Sometimes we feel alone, but really we are not alone, depression is a mental illness, and so, we must strive to get through, and teach people that it is not a stigma, but it is as regular as someone having diabetes, heart disease etc..., we must learn the tools to get through it and live our lives happily...

Victory

Victory is not always about winning, its just doing your best. Doing our best and knowing that we did our best is enough and that is Victory!

Victory

accomplishing a big task...

accomplishing a big problem with a solution...

accomplishing goals that were created...

Being free from people who were hurtful, and being able to forgive them as well...

Being able to get through a bad day by turning it around to a good day...

Being able to stand up for what is right and getting through it...

And Finally,

Being able to love yourself and trust yourself in a world of uncertainty and struggles. We are never alone, God is always there and cheering us on and through Him we have achieved victory! We sometimes doubt whether we can do a task or get through a bolder that crosses our lives, but we can do it...it may have happened for a reason, a lesson for us to learn, but God never gives us anything that we can't handle, and so, we must push through it, and know that we can pass through the bolder and achieve Victory!
